Eoin Hughes Brown

I need to make it blog official that we are expecting Baby Brown #2 in just one month!  Eoin (pronounced Owen) Hughes Brown is due August 16th!  We are so excited to be welcoming a baby boy into our crazy nest.  Speaking of nest, it is time to kick it into high gear and get this baby a nursery to come home to.  We just got a crib and changing table last week and a family piece of furniture is being refinished that will be his dresser.  Here is a picture of his crib and the handsome (need to get used to not using words like cute, pretty, beautiful) crib bedding that was gifted to us by my mom.  Thanks mom for helping us get ready!

4th of July

The Browns were still at the beach for the 4th of July.  We headed inland to Beaufort to watch their annual parade.  Leighton was hot and cold during the entire parade.  She loved the trucks but when they made noise she cried.  She loved the music but when people got to close she cried.  Whew, it was a parenting experience for sure!  Afterwards she took a long nap and then we went out to the beach for family play time.  At 9pm, Morehead City, Atlantic Beach, and Beaufort all set off fireworks.  Leighton was NOT a fan!  We watched a few minutes of the Atlantic Beach fireworks by the beach and then headed sound side where we could see both Morehead's and Beaufort's fireworks at the same time.  LB signed "all done" and repeatedly asked us to go back inside.  Poor girl!  It was a great trip to the beach.  The next morning we headed back to Raleigh after two weeks on the road.
