One Month

What?  Eoin is one month?  I just can't believe how time flies.  I always knew it did, but with little ones it becomes so much more apparent when you can see how much they change so fast.  Eoin has gained three pounds in the last month and grown half an inch.  We adorable him and I can already picture our future with him in it bouncing around and playing with Leighton.  It is fun to think about all that we are going to do as a family.  I have to keep reminding myself though to live in the moment and appreciate this hour and this day.  I do, but I get so excited for him to crawl, then walk and waddle around!  I forgot how little newborns do during the day.  So our time is spent feeding him, burping him, changing his diaper, changing his clothes, sleep time, tummy time, swing time and repeat.  All day long, repeat!

Eoin is the sweetest guy and has one fussy time per day, which is in the evening.  It is difficult to manage dinner and bathtime with LB when he is unhappy, but she doesn't seem to mind and is rather patient for a 22 month old.  Soon enough the fussing stops and I say my blessings that it is only a couple of hours.  After he calms down, he usually goes to bed and stays asleep until about 4 to 4:30am.  Then it is a quick change and feed and the guy is back to dreamland where he stays until 7-7:30am.  You can't beat only one feeding per night.  I hit the jackpot in having children that can sleep!  We feel grateful for our two very healthy and thriving children.  We couldn't ask for more.

The Great Outdoors

Our family loves spending time in the Great Outdoors.  This is a sampling of some of our outdoor activities from over the past few months.

Hillridge Farms

Aunt Jennifer came to visit us from South Carolina while Stuart was in Savannah for the weekend.  It was so great to have an old friend visit and have her help out with the kiddos.  We took LB and Eoin to Hilldridge Farms.  It was a huge hit!  LB loved it.  Talk about having plenty to do, there were bounce houses, animals, hayride, pumpkins, slides, the list could keep going on.  We stayed as long as we could but eventually it was lunch and naptime.  We made it out just in time to avoid a complete melt down!  It was fun watching LB explore the farm.
